Failure means the termination of an intended behaviour of a component or a system of the ADS due to a fault manifestation. Termination can be permanent or transient.

Explanation

A failure is any fault in the system that prevents a vehicle from completing its planned journey or stops a vehicle in the station or depot movement areas.
