Current consensus
A scenario is a structured depiction, specified by a set of pre-determined conditions and variables, representing actual or theoretical states, situations, or interactions.
Explanation
A scenario in CEM is a carefully designed and structured representational construct. Its structure ensures the scenario represents the complexities of CCAM systems or services in a controlled and meaningful way and allows for systematic analysis and testing. Scenarios are characterized by specific conditions and variables and established before the scenario is enacted or analyzed. This allows for replicable and consistent methodology for accurate simulation and evaluation. Scenarios can depict actual states, which are real and observable conditions, or theoretical states, which are hypothetical and used for future forecasting. Situations as scenarios refer to specific traffic configurations or events. Interactions as scenarios refer to event sequences and responses involving the vehicle, other road users, and the environment.
